The program for my thesis project is residential units build with modular units. Those modules will be defined with multiple factors: dimension of the modules, programmatic functions of the modules, systems required for the modules based on the programmatic functions and climates/orientation factors of the site. The dimension of the module should take into consideration of the size limits for the transporting trucks, programmatic functions and systems should go hand in hand and climate/orientation of the actual site would determine what type of module should be chosen.
The program of the module houses would be further developed to see how the modules can be combined to become single-unit housing or multi-units housing, because the modules will provide different varieties and options for different uses. The end product of the modular housing shall provide high quality of living for the occupants.
Can you define a little more clearly what different types of program would be for residential units? What are the different uses? I'm assuming that there will be the common uses of any residence: sleep, eat, socialize, etc. but were you imagining something greater than that?
